Mlb 2013

Waino and Wacha in games 1 and 2....looks like a nice chance to leave Boston up 2-0.

This looks like it will be a great series, but I like the Cards chances.

Sox doing what they do best and the Cards looking a bit bit rusty out there. Still plenty of ball to be played. Let's see what happens tonight.

Cards got embarrassed last night. Hopefully that will wake them up and make it a series. I am glad they changed the Kozma error at 2nd and got it right.

Wainwright made no impression on the Boston batters last night. Hopefully, Wacha can do so tonight. The Beltran injury could be big trouble. Kozma really needs to settle down and play solid defense, too. We'll see.

Finally, it's game time again. The Cards cannot expect to beat Boston with their pitching game alone. They just chased Verlander, Scherzer, & Co. into the offseason, so I'm thinking they aren't the least bit intimidated. Start playing proper defense and hitting the ball, already. Do it tonight or it becomes a dire situation.

Wacha is dealing tonight, has a shutout after 5 innings. What a find this kid is. He's going to make bank big time come new contract talks for him.

Big Papi does it again. This guy is one hell of a clutch hitter in the playoffs.

Throw a slow, lazy pitch right into his wheel house, and you get what you deserve. Everyone knows how dangerous he is, why not throw him garbage when you can much better afford a base on balls? Bad mistake.

Looks like Rosenthal will get the ball in the 9th, hopefully getting the save.

Knee, with Chris Carpenter retiring at the end of the season, it will free up some payroll to feed some of these young arms a paycheck. I will be curious to see what the Cards lineup looks like next year. They are loaded with young pitchers ready for the majors if they should decide to let a couple go in a trade.
