It's called blue coral but to me it looks a lot like the turquoise you used on the T-bird. I repainted it already. Does look good on the Boss. I'll get some picture's up soon.
 
Here's a couple of pictures. The body and the parts I stripped of the fake looking chrome and painted. You can actually see the mustang on the wheels center caps. You get a lot more detail to come through.

Years ago I was painting my 75 Monte had the small dent fixed in the front fender was trying to dry the primer fast so o had a fan next to the fender to dry it well you know what happened the fan fell into the fender and now I had a bigger dent to fix ! But after paint job of 10 coats of mid nite blue lacquer it turned out beautiful !

Back when I worked for Mitsubishi there was a list of things that people in there paint shop couldn't wear. Things like perfumes, deodorants, shampoos. Pretty extensive list really.
 
Finished the Boss 429. Not bad for the first car in in 55 years. The camera on the phone can't get the color right. The car is aqua not blue. Time to finish the P-38 now. A post mentioned poor instructions. Opened the X-KE and those instructions come in large multi-page pamphlet. and are super specific with lots pf pictures.

how did you do the wheels and grille?

I used Alclad II paints. Gloss black and polished aluminum. You have to have that shiny base coat. It really brought out the detail of grill and gave it some depth. The wheels would have looked a lot better if I would have remembered to use hot water on the tires to make them pliable instead of trying to force them. Thing with using Alclad you have to use very thin coats of the polished aluminum or chrome finish over the gloss black for the best and shiniest effect, the more coats the duller the finish. The finish is easy to damage by handling. They say you can mask with out loss of the finish. I haven't found that to ever be true even with Tamiya modelers tape. It's a learning curve but worth it, you just have to be careful.

Also found out that if the chrome plating isn't really heavy shoot it with Alclad gloss black then the top coat for a more realistic look. That's what I did to the gas cap and just used a brush.
I tried other gloss black but the Alclad looks the best and preserves the sharp detail.
