Moron vs B-2

sad indeed.
But I cannot agree on calling somebody you never saw or met a filthy moron

We know what a B-2 is, he doesn't....
The place is filthy ....moron comes from the way he positions a heavy piece of equipment on its relatively delicate pots and switches in order to market it for an auction sale..the auction is suppose to bring highest price based on the photos he is listing.. Go figure why I called him a moron. No I do not need to know this person to gauge he is a moron.

It has nothing to do with knowing of not knowing what the B-2 is...has to do with comon sense.

Not worth worrying about.
It's his hardware. He can do with it as he wishes.
If he does not value his amp. He should not expect potential buyers to do so either.
A self-correcting situation.

I get it rottalpha - it's painful to see such a nice amp being treated so carelessly. If it's not sold locally it will almost certainly be poorly packed and damaged during shipping.

"Items were filthy unlike picture and one was chewed on"

One recent negative feedback but pretty classic. He's that crazy guy at the front of the line beating down the door at estate sales.

it is not often you see a B-2 that was nicely preserved for ~40 years...then someone like this ends up with it :(

I saw that auction and thought the same thing. At least it's not like some people who do the same but outside on their driveway (I suppose to get better light?).
At least he admits he got it at an estate sale and knows nothing about it.
I guarantee that it will come shipped in a too small cardboard box wrapped in bubble wrap. Well, what's left of it anyway. A future parts amp is what we're looking at.

Just by looking at those pictures, I can guess what that B-2 will smell like. If I bought it, I'd be cleaning and de-lousing it before it even crossed the threshold into my house!

So, I bought Moron's B2. :)

I already gave him a lecture on how to pack it. This will likely be my winter restore project, which will begin with a complete tear-down.

Wish me luck. First I need to get my hands on it, hopefully in the same condition it's in in the photos.

Hope it did not or will not get too damaged.
I second what Vint Age says, if outputs OK,
you got a very good deal.

Congrats! Worth every penny of it and more ... as long as the outputs are OK.

Thanks. There is always that risk, but since the seller claims he got it at an estate sale, I figure there is a good chance it was owned by only one owner and it looks to be in good condition.

Ever since I realized the potential of my current B2, I have been longing for a second one. Funny how that works. ;)
