Multiple TT's

Does Jasper have a musical preference? My parakeet seem to like just about everything, chirping along with the music, even trying to do the drum bits.

Cracks me up.

No real preference to genre, but, an absolute preference for the sweet spot. She knows stereo extremely well, and always finds the sweet spot.

In order from most to least.

I could go on 'n on... But lately,really been enjoying listening to 70's Pioneer DD's.
Favs (in order)
1- Pioneer PL-630
PL-550
PL-L1000

My TD 124 gets the most use, though that's only because I want to limit the hours on the mmc2 cart gracing my Beogram 8002.

My main system daily driver is a Pioneer PL-630, #2 is a Dual 510 (I like that one), and my first decent table after getting back into vinyl a few years back is a JVC QL A2. I also have a Technics SL-3 linear tracker gathering dust that will be going to a new home soon.

Well I guess none dominate my tiny collection. I got one from each company I suppose.

Galibier Audio Serac

Throrens TD 124

Garrrd 401

Technics SP 10 MK II

AR XA by Marc Morin

And I got 2 belt drives and 2 idlers. So I guess the direct drive loses by default.

philips ga-212
akai-ap 206c
although I did have two hitachi ht-350 ..but dismantled one that wasn't working properly to supply feet and a better lid to the other that was.
If space and budget made a 6th a possibility...I'd like to add a heybrook , another ariston (a late rd90s or early rd11 with linn akito or rega rb250/300 if possible) , a systemdek iv, perhaps an early sondek at the right price or..a logic dm-101 with datum tonearm.
No brand loyalties here...I just love turntables...

2 Technics SL-1200 (Mk2 and Mk5);

1 Audio Technica AT-PL120 (non USB);

1 Audio Technica AT-LP240;

1 Sony PS-LX55II linear linear tracker
I see this an a old thread but I also have that SOny PS-lX55ii and PS-LX520 linear trackers...how much better is the sound over the technics ? I Assume quite a bit.....I have the option of getting a 1200MK2 a 1300MK2, or QRK 12c, and lastly a Pioneer PL-1000a linear tracker thats supposedly just almost the same as a Phase Linear 8000...ANyway I figured I had to ask since you also own the sony and a couple of the others I'm thinking of adding to my stable of decks.....oh, I also have a Marantz 6300...it can be finicky but luscious and warm when aligned and working right.

I have two JVCs - my QL-F4 (second table for listening, out on my sun porch) and a L-A100 (nothing special, friends are using it right now, but it was my first table)
One Thorens - the TD-125 MKII
One Pioneer - PL-530, in the process of becoming usable.

At the moment, the count of multiples is as follows, roughly:

Bang & Olufsen: 10 (two are duplicates/parts units, so eight different models)
Technics: 9 (all different models)
Dual: 4 (ditto)
Acoustic Research: 3 (ditto)
Perpetuum-Ebner: 2 (ditto)

Got several others from other brands (Denon, Empire, Pioneer, Rabco, Sony, etc.) which are singles. This should give a good idea of what I have, though I've been too lazy to update it in awhile.

2 Garrards in my mix

1. Garrard AT6 Mk II (Stacker / Changer for the oldies!).
2. Garrard SL95B (needs refurbished).
3. Dual 1219 (Original Unrestored Survivor). Impressive for what I'm used to.
4. Voice of Music ('63 Changer, w/Westinghouse Tube Console, needs refurb).
5. Technics SL-1200MK2. (Music Cave Workhorse, I love it).

Things have changed for me - Moved away from the Garrards, as Duals now dominate:
1. Dual 1219 (self refurbished) - mainly for 45 stacking
2. Technics SL-1200MK2; Added KAB mods - maily for critical LP listening.
3. Dual 1019 (self refurbished) In my music cave now.
4. Dual 1009 (self refurbished) In my Grundig (tube) Stereo Console.
5. Dual 1009 SK (self refurbished); now on shelf, awaiting for time to refurbish my HH Scott 299-C tube amp to mate up with for Home Office use.
