How do you like the speaker with the MC50. I had my MC250 on my Symphonys and found it did not seem to get them to open up so I went for another 3db from a MC2105 and it did the trick. Those MC50s are as scarce as the lo-boy so really nice setup. What turntable are you going to use?

Sources are as follows:

Fairchild 412 turntable with a MicroTrak tonearm with a Denon DL-102 mono cartridge,
Elac Miracord 50H turntable with a Grado 78C for 78s,
An el-cheapo Toshiba CD/SACD/DVD universal player wired to mono through an Edcor stereo to mono box.

I play quite a few classic mono jazz CDs and SACDs through the Toshiba.

I have only heard the lowboy on the MC50. I also have a MC2105 but it cannot be bridged to mono. I will use that in my stereo Concert Grands (which are still in my garage). I do have a McIntosh 754 which I can bridge to mono... I may try that soon. I may try some mono tube amps.

Right now, I am happy with the MC50.

Very impressive... I'm sure it sounds very, very good!

I have been listening to mono jazz CD's and SACDs and mono classical LPs all day. The bass sounds and feels true... very deep. I am not noticing anything lacking from this speaker in the highs or mids either. I am enjoying it very much.

Seeing the MC50 siting on top reminds me how much floor space these take. Talk about a BIG floorprint. Maybe you could boast by putting a speaker like a Minimus 7 on top :) .

Changing your name to BozakJon.....:D
Great looking set up. Which I imagine sounds amazing.:thmbsp:

Yeah, like yours. Hmmm., I know we tend to be budget minded but using a kitty in lieu of stuffing seems a bit extreme.
