I haven't done a "Mystery Speaker" thread before, so here goes.

Picked these up this afternoon at one of the local GW's:

Hmm, sure look nice. They gots to be Marantz Imperials, Bozaks, or Dynacos, or even KLH's. The drivers look "Radioshackish".

Either way, they look nice, and I bet they sound great! Nice Score! :D

Turn those speakers around and let's see the back's.
Does the wire come straight out the back, or are there real contact's?
Rap on the back with your knuckle's, is it a dead/solid sound or is it a kind of resonant sound, like a thin back board?
Ping, I know you have been around the block, but these are some of the question's I try to answer when I'm at the thrift store. obviously there are no marking's on the back or you would have shown them to us.
I'm stumped.......but whose surprised at that..........

Man, you guys are faaaaaaaaaaaaasst! :D

I'd never seen any tall ones like these...just the different Nova's.

They are Radio Shack Realistic MC-1500's

sorry Jim, I thought the object of the mystery speaker thread was to make people guess what you had...? :)

I think that's the "Guess what I got today thread".
But then I'd still be stumped.......
Good post Ping !!!

Somebody recently posted a "Guess which speaker I brought home today (in twenty questions or less)" that was fun !!!!!
Ill try and look it up but the AK search feature seems rather weak.......

For what it's worth, unless you plan on using them, leave the RCA jacks plugged. Removing the "stoppers" creates an air leak in the cabinets (not good).

the crappy search function is an inherint problem with the forums software, not the fault of our fearless leaders, (before anyone goes spouting off) :P
