Without the horn, I'd have guessed Philips. I still think the two cone drivers are Philips.

I would guess these are a stereo chain "house brand" speaker. I would also guess that maybe the drivers were sourced from Japan even though one commenter here thinks they are from Philips. I would not expect much from the whizzer coned midrange and horn tweeter, which is probably a honker. They might be worth a listen, but I'd expect mid to lo-fi sound from such speakers.

The seller finally answered my info request; he says they are “Picasso” speakers with no model number but with a serial # of 8486. All I can find on “Picasso” speakers is car audio gear. I am curious more than interested in purchasing these unless they are some well-regarded, under the radar model

The grill and cabinets sort of look like Quadraflex, the inhouse brand of Pacific Stereo. The drivers dont look like anything they used.

Joshewah might have got it right with Aztec. I think Aztec named all their speakers after artists.

Yes, when I search Aztec Picasso I find that those are the speakers on CL. The cabs look to be pretty sturdy. They would probably just go to my arsenal if I did get them, I am collecting way more than I use and the wife knows that I hoard gear, so we made a deal- before I buy something I have to sell something.
