Need help identifying tube amp

Your picture shows the chassis as being dull yellow ,if it is so you might have a cadmium-plated chassis that has oxidized .
Cadmiumoxide is toxid be carefull while cleaning it , take safety precautions . Work outside, if possible , wear gloves and dustmask .

It is yellowish green. More green actually. Is this Cadmium? I posted some better pictures above.

Looking at your new pics I would treat it as such , if it were oxidized zink-plating I would expect it to be white and not this "yellow green"

I am still trying to find out which tubes are for the audio. I know several of them are for radio reception, which I do not need. I want to know what ones controlled the sound. Any help?

I am thinking the 6BM8, 6BN8, and 6BE6 are the audio tubes. Hopefully someone can confirm for me.

I tested the unit pulling tubes out one at a time, and it worked with every single tube missing except the 6BM8.

The 6BM8 has a triode input section and pentode output section in a single tube. Maximum output is 3.5w. It's best to leave the other tubes, which are part of the tuner circuit, in even if they aren't necessary to amplify your source. If you run it without them the voltages on the 6BM8s will be higher than normal and could damage them or other parts that are designed to see lower voltages.

Great info! I am leaving them in anyway because they look neat. I did order a new set of Electo Harmonic 6bm8, paired and pre burned in. I always like Electros in guitar amps, so I am excited to hear it!

Made by Apex Coil of Chicago; third quarter of 1963 (code says week 39, but some manufacturers just showed week 13, 26, 39, 52 for first, second, third, fourth quarter). Other number is OEM part number for ordering replacement; useless today.
