No not giving up but if someone else has what it takes to finish them then I will sell. I have posted wanted adds for the woofers and messaged a member here that said he had some.

There is a set for sale that are complete right now too on ebay. One woofer had been re coned but other than that they look good. I am bidding on those so we will see how it goes

I have ended the sale. I may have these others bought

I have some KEF C75's, one has a blown tweeter, and I gave up trying to find one.

How long were you looking? Well I full set is on ebay right now for the DSS-E10 and its in California, just southern. So if I don't get them then I will just continue..
 
I looked for a tweeter for over a year. Apparently, the ferrofluid dries up, and then the tweeter cooks. I think I got 30 or so bucks in them, so no biggie.

Yours, however, are too nice to give up on.
 
I still say to go for the MCM woofers. Their specs are very close to what you are looking for, and as per their T/S parameters, your enclosure is a match for them.

They are on back order until the end of the month. They are the dual 8-ohm so I will have to modify the crossover correct?
 
I think the question is whether the $100 you would have to pay for the MCM woofers is worth having the speakers operate. Might not be perfect, but it would work. $100 may seem like too much for a temporary solution, I get that, but it just depends how much you would use them while you search for the real woofers.

From looking at the wiring diagram, there are four leads: 2 x White, 1 x Blue, and 1 x Brown. Those leads connect to the woofer. The white at the top goes to - on the outer woofer, the 2nd white from the top goes to the - on the inner Voice Coil, the 3rd one down is blue and goes to the + of the inner Voice Coil, and the 4th down is brown and goes to the + of the outer woofer.

On the wiring diagram you can see that in the circuit board they are connected in series, which gives you an 8 Ohm load if using a 4 Ohm + 4 Ohm DVC Woofer. My educated guess is that you need a 4 + 4 DVC Woofer, not 8 + 8 like the MCM.
 
I just have to check the calendar to make sure I haven't lost 21 days.

An 8 ohm DVC woofer can to wired in parallel to give 4 ohms.
An 8 ohm DVC woofer can be wired to one side and give 8 ohms.
A 4 ohm DVC woofer could be wired in series to produce 8ohms.
A 4 ohm DVC woofer could yield 4 ohms by wiring one side.
It's only March 12th, but me gotta go again.

After thinking about it some more I think I will just wait until I run into the originals. No point in wasting money.
