New Cart choice?

Looking for a Cart for my stock Technics SL-1500 mk1. I may change arms later to a SME series III. Looking at a Goldring D2100, Denon DL110 & Ortofon 2M blue. I would like to hear some other suggestions. Thanks

Audio Technica 150MLX - modest voltage (like 3.5 mV), very neutral and highly detailed. Sort of the modern replacement (functionally) for the Shure V15 IV or V

The more compliant, the better, for that SME III.

Keep that in mind.

All the carts you mentioned should work well with the stock arm, but the Ortofon is kinda heavy for the SME.

Get many cartridges and roll them. It's a lot of fun and you will find some pleasant surprises.

Have a 2M Blue, great cart for the money. But, If Deli says it's too heavy for that arm..........

To be honest, I dunno if it's too heavy/non-compliant for the SME, but all points to it being ideal for a medium mass arm, and tue SME is a low mass arm.

Try an AT110E or as Nagaoka MP11 i have that table and both cartridges sound great with the stock arm So does the AT12XE...........
