New to me 610II - Distortion

Are you getting 19vdc to one side of R489 and R490 feeding the emitters of TR481 and TR482 with .7vdc ?

No, I am getting full rail Voltage of 42v on the one side of the resistors and it drops it to about 0.65v feeding the emmiters

Something's drawing down the positive rail after its turned off. The negative side power supply cap will hold close to the -42v after you power the unit off. The +42v supply cap will starting dropping as soon as you power it off.

Measure the DC voltages on power supply transistor TR571
E -- ?
C -- ?
B -- ?

I wouldn't worry about it..

Ok...I think we are on to something. I have 42v on all three E,CB. I just replaced that transistor with a zTX694B ...no difference. WZ210 was replaced a while ago also.

Check your solder connections for solder bridging around the TR571 area.

Yes...they look original. If I check voltage on I believe the side of the D572,R571&R572 junction (physically touching the diode lead) I get 20v. But if I go on the other side of both R571 & R572 I get the 42v.

Those resistors would need to be shorted.. Resistors don't usually short . They usually go high resistance or " open"..

Your Zetex transistor is shorted..

Exactly what I would expect to see at the base of TR571..

Uh oh...nope..I didn't catch that..let me see if I can test the original 2SC734. I need to google that...lol

Ok..went back and checked this on the outputs I am getting closer to +65 on TR483 and -65 on TR481. 0.65v from the resistors on both, and zero volts on the other leads as indicated.
