What Jacob Trouba attempted* to do last night is outright criminal, how the NHL hasn't responded is beyond me.

*Headhunting, intent to injure, launching, extended elbow

The Hurricane player is so lucky that his neck didn't get sliced open.

He missed him. How is that "criminal?"

Criminal in the NHL no, however it should of been a Match Penalty as there was deliberate attempt to injure

Again, how can there be a penalty if he didn't hit anyone? How do you know his intent was to injure if he didn't hit anyone? The answer is there is no punishment if there the rule wasn't broken and you do not.

Another six hours of hockey on TV today. First game Bruins at Panthers followed by the 'Best In The West' series which I'll be following, Edmonton at Vancouver. I'm thinking the Oilers - Canucks will be a tight one and maybe go seven, with Vancouver being the ultimate winner.

What do you think he was attempting to do or was his intent with his elbow out launching himself off of his skates?

Yeah...historically refs never call such a marginal interpretation (though arguably not incorrect) during a playoff overtime. Had he actually hit him, (having launched himself the way he did), it would have been called.

Well you know who won this one.

There was a decent Canucks 50/50 draw for tonights game to....and of course I forgot to buy tickets for it.

Panthers played a flawless game...great stuff...this'll be the kind of EPIC I always hope for in the playoffs!

...just got the highlights of the Canucks Oilers...wow!!

I thought they were gone but they scratched their way back.

It was a game well worth watching.

Latest news out of Toronto.......Leafs have canned head coach Sheldon Keefe after failing to stay in the playoffs. Not really unexpected as coaches are always to blame for losing teams.

Rangers really messing with the Hurricane minds!

A lot of very good hockey in this second round!

Seven more hours until Vancouver/Edmonton game. What to do....what to do... Maybe go out and mow the lawn again to kill some time.

I just looked at my watch and realized it's just past noon there...too early for an adult bevy ?....

too early for an adult bevy ?.

Never too early but if I start now I know I'll probably miss the game. Maybe a special chocolate chip cookie would be good right now. Yeah, that's it! Then I'll go out and do some weed eating instead of mowing.

What is the Vancouver/Edmonton rivalry like? I doubt it compares to Calgary/Edmonton as that was and is a pretty intense one
