No love for metric

The metric system is much simpler to use (of course) and there are relationships between volume and weight that we don't have in our system.
For example, a liter of water weighs one kilogram and a cubic meter of water weighs one metric ton.
How much does a quart of water weigh?
How much does a cubic yard of water weigh?
How do you put one foot 5 inches into a computer?
I could go on and on but I'll stop.
That's OK. Gas is still 3.35 (and 9/10ths):stupid:

A 3 foot by 3 foot by 3 foot cube of water weighs a little less than a ton ?
I did not know that :D

A quart of water weighs 32 ounces of course, LOL

The US will follow the rest of the world eventually. The imperial system is ancient, outdated and nobody cares for it anymore.

I find it funny that the US was a signatory to the original Metre Convention in 1878, one of 17 member states then, none of which now use imperial measurements anymore! Apparently there are now 56 member states- all major industrialised countries in the world, all recognising the international standards of measurement are essentially metric.
