No NFL thread for this season yet ?

Patriot stat that will make you think.

Interesting article about Patriot fumbles before and after teams were able to provide their own footballs. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/deflat...-why-patriots-don-t-fumble-003107565-nfl.html

Highlight from Article.
Patriots’ fumble rate was 42 touches per fumble from 2000 through 2006. That was about the league average. Since 2007 (1st year of teams providing own balls), however, that rate has dropped dramatically, to 74 touches per fumble. Over that time, the Pats are the best team in the NFL at holding onto the ball, even including dome teams.

I saw that too . Sort of a slight odor coming from the North East .

Wilson sure is an interesting story. Rumor has it that shortly he may become the highest paid QB in the league, which certainly change the cap dynamic in Seattle.

That being said, if he wins he'll have 2 Superbowls in his first 3 years. How could things get better for him??? Elway won two on his way out, but two on your way in is amazing!

Brady will face the turf a few times, get rattled, and throw a couple picks. Seahawks defense will be too much for the Patsys. Lynch will run for over 100 yards.

Seahawks, 34-20

I rather see the Seahawks win but Brady lost the last two he played in . I think he wins this one . With all the controversial plays this season . I think it continues in the super bowl . Hope I'm wrong

I bought a $10 square for the game, first one I've bought in years.

$250/quarter, and my numbers are 3 - 3 for the whole game. We used to do some where you got a different set of numbers each quarter, but we'll see how this plays out.

Lots of betting on the game. I used to get a kick out of all the things in the game you could bet on.

I wonder of there will be a line on how many people will be exposed to the recent outbreak of measles in the dome? I heard on the news today that someone who contracted the measles rode a train somewhere in NY and exposed tens of thousands of people in the terminals. There's some concern about people in the stadium now.

I wonder if there's going to be an "I'm going to Disneyland" commercial after the game?

They're betting on how much cleavage Katie Perry will bare...

At this year’s Super Bowl, people aren’t just gambling on whether the Patriots or Seahawks will win. They’re also cashing in on Katy Perry’s cleavage. Yep, that’s right. Folks over at BetOnline, a gambling website, are placing bets on whether or not the Super Bowl performer will bring her puppies out to play during this Sunday’s game.

Well I have two favorite teams, and guess what? They're playin each other! WHAT ARE THE ODDS?
Before anyone asks, I've been a fan of both teams since the 80's!
I'm gonna be routing for the Hawks this year, Russel Wilson is IMHO the best all around QB ever! and besides, My Pats have already won a few!
Either way I can't lose, lol
GO PATHAWKS!!!

Gotta Love Katy!!

Yeah they are my two favorite as well. The Seahawks first and the Pats a distant second. I live in the NW and have followed the Hawks from the start.

Junior Seau headlines eight-man Pro Football Hall of Fame class

Seau, the late longtime linebacker for the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, was the headliner of a class that also includes running back Jerome Bettis, defensive end Charles Haley, guard Will Shields, receiver Tim Brown, center Mick Tingelhoff (a senior nominee) and general managers Bill Polian and Ron Wolf.

Jerome Bettis . :banana::banana::banana::yes::banana::thmbsp:

I'm a Steeler hater but I really loved the way Bettis played ball. I love also really like Mike Tomlin. I always respect a team that plays straight forward, hard assed football. I was very happy to see him and Haley make the cut. Every time Haley was on the field he could change the course of a game. Now it's time to forgive Ricky Watters and get him the well deserved honor of the hall.

The National Anthem sucked.

The Chevy pickup commercial was pretty good, though.
