Oh, wow...Those are beyond good looking speakers. Condition is amazing as well...built into the wall with speaker cloth?, well, if it works.

Man, what a set:drool:.

Magical find. :thmbsp:

I request that you give us the long story(I mean beyond-Arkay long....).

Not much to tell...Let's see...off the top of my head...
They are original one owner time capsules. He ordered them both brand new. They are the oldest known pair of blond Hartsfields.
The first series speaker, (on right in first post) was built on November 9, 1954. This is the only first series Prima-Vera Blond Hartsfield. The Prima-Vera Blond finish was only available from 1954 to 1957 and was $9.00 extra. The original price in 1954 for this speaker system was $735.00.
The model C30-B cabinet contains all it's original 085 Theater System components including, H5039 Rectangular Exponential Horn with Serpentine Koustical Lens, N500-H, 500 cycle Crossover serial number 411-09, Humpback 375 tweeter driver, and 150-4C woofer.

The series two speaker was made on January 23, 1956. The Prima-Vera Blond finish is almost perfect. The premium finish was $10.00 extra. The original price in 1956 for this speaker system was $865.00.
The model C30-B cabinet contains all it's original 085 Theater System components including, H5039 Rectangular Exponential Horn with Serpentine Koustical Lens, N500-H 500 cycle Crossover serial number 60123, Humpback 375 tweeter driver, and 150-4C woofer.
These speakers have spent their entire lives in the Los Angeles area installed in a custom built in-wall enclosure with a grill cloth cover, they have never been exposed to direct sunlight. This is exactly what the bright honey and gold finish looked like when it left the factory fifty five years ago.
Pretty cool huh?

Cool? No.

This is beyond cool, it's the audio equivalent of winching a Bugatti barn-find out into the sunlight for the first time in 50 years.

Congrats!

John
