Official Grateful Dead Thread

I went on a 68 kick interlude on my E72 winter journey last month and really dig that 2/14 Carousel show. Some real good stuff there as they layed the groundwork for what was to come in 69.. Dug the 9/2/68 quite a bit as well albeit a lil later in the year

10 minutes ago I finished off Crimson, White & Indigo - yep, fun show :thmbsp:
I then slid The Grateful Dead Movie (Blu-Ray) into the player.
The hair changed but it looks kinda like the same band of pranksters more or less.

Some of the audio settings sound better than others, try them all for your setup.
Sorry but there's no mute-Donna setting.

Holy ****. They're rigging the Wall Of Sound. Holy ****.

Got this 1 disc movie from Trader's Den and watched it today:

August 27, 1972 @ Old Renaissance Faire Grounds, Veneta, OR (AKA the Sunshine Daydream movie)

100° with 30K thirsty folks and a water shortage.
Semi-Pro shot, very little pseudopsychedelic visuals & great sound.
They filmed as much audience as the band and it's definitely a fun movie.

EDIT - Apparently I'm not the only one that absolutely loves this show.
Here's the Ramble On Joe review http://thebestofwebsite.com/Bands/Grateful_Dead/Misc/Joe/GD_1972_08_27.htm

Enjoy :music:

best film out there, and from my understanding the only closeup video of Jerry doing the Tiger during the Dark Star in existence. Its entrancing to watch
