We went through a whole week of this bullshit in Philly. Non-stop. I didn't listen.

Absolutely correct. He just needed a John Elway size stage to retire and didn't get one.

As a Packer fan, there's lots of #4 stuff around here and rightfully so.
but his "unretirements and all the drama that ensued coupled with the Packer's SuperBowl win last year sure redeemed Thompson and damned Favre.

His actions of the last few years have pretty much turned his once shining legacy into water cooler joke, and that's just too bad because he sure as hell was something very special for a long time, and I'm damn glad he wore the Green and Gold.
