Looks like AR or EPI. I like square magnet woofer... Misteriously
Hi Sax6 !!!
A friend of mine confirmed that you're right! these vintage woofers were made by Tonegen and AR and EPI used them too.
Thank you!
Regards.

Right
No.

They bear an EIA code(manufacturer ID) of either 561 or 581, the QC stamp obfuscates it a bit. Date coded 24th week of 1983.

Utah = 328

Becker = 24

CTS = 137
Absolutely right!!! 561 is the Tonegen EIA code.
Thank you for the reply!
Regards

Those are original AR woofers, as evidenced by "Made in USA" notation. I have a pair - - they were used in the AR-28b speaker model. Tonegen did indeed later produce many drivers for AR speakers, but these were made in Japan and their part numbers always started with "1". Original drawing for 050 driver is attached.

Looks like the tweeters are phenolic ring type. Can you post pic of backside of mid driver....and what is that brand of speaker anyway?
