On Impulse I ordered a Boyuu Reisong A10 EL34, class A. Any experience? Add your opinion on it.

Read some good online reviews and Amazon reviews were all positive. Ordered a Boyuu Reisong A10 (Chi-fi) integrated off Amazon.
EL34b power tubes (2), auto-biasing.
6n2p (2)
5z4p (1) rectifier
Single end ultra linear
6 wpc claimed
4 and 8 ohm taps.
Two sets RCAs
With these optional upgrades, which come standard on Amazon version:
Upgraded transformer
Point to point wiring and one board
Tube cage
26.5 lbs.
They mailed me a schematic.
One year warranty. Exchange for new replacement if issues.

From online videos, the unit looks like quality build. View of inside looked neat. Are the capacitors, components of good quality? Time will tell.
I have no connection to China Hifi or Amazon.

I have two Rogue tube amps for two main systems. But this will be for bedroom setup with 90 db Canton Karat 200 or 92 db ADS L470 speakers. Near field setup. Guessing will be warmer than Rogues. My Rogues do not sound very tubey.

I've had good reliability with solid state China made SMSL dacs and BluDento Bluetooth receiver. So thought would give this a go.

So anyone have any experience with this unit?

What are your favorite front end and EL34 tubes in this or similar design amps?

I'll likely be rolling tubes to replace the Dawn Swallow el34 standard tubes.
I'll be playing mostly jazz, vocals and blues. No hard rock.

Please post updates once you receive the unit. I have used a similar one -Gemtune BL-02 - for the last couple of years in my office septup and been very happy with it. But of course although also point to point wired it is not identical to the one you bought (plus mine uses 6SL7 driver tubes) so its performance may well be different from the one you bought.

So after I ordered, Amazon showed no longer available and don't know if will be in future.

Bummer. I guess all the recent publicity created a mini run on those amps. That basic design, single ended pentode with EL-34 and 2 driver tubes and tube rectification seems to be really popular at the cheap end of the Chi-Fi offerings and there are actually a number of similar ones available from there.

I will post my impressions, when I receive it.

Back in stock on Amazon site.

Since I ordered this, a couple lots of these have sold on Amazon at same price I paid, with very short delivery promised, from USA stock.
Mine has yet to ship from China. Been week since ordered. Maybe have to build a 110 V unit.

I have had the near identical A9 for a few years. Reliable and sounds great
What EL34 brand tubes are you using? What have you tried?
Amp discription is showing they furnish an obscure brand called Dawn Swallows el34s. I will order some, maybe Tungsols. But Tungsols from reviews may be better suited to rock music? I'll be mostly jazz listening through vintage ADS L470, 7" woofer two ways with soft done tweeters (Braun drivers). On warm side.

There are several favorable reviews on YouTube, one especially from the Audiophiliac himself, Steve Guttenberg.
Only Amazon review complaints were over low power not driving speakers. Hopefully bad reviews aren't deleted.
That SG review and Zero review where he also showed inside amp. Looked like neat work . Peaked my interest.

I compared cost buying from China Hifi and Amazon with same options. Cost was close when adding shipping. Thought Amazon return policy was worth small price difference.

With Amazon, you get a 30 day trial which is a good selling feature. However, I am unaware if China HiFi offers anything similar. I agree that Amazon is worth the difference.

I picked one up on amazon last week. A us supplier had 5 sold out in a couple hours. My first tube amp, running Forte II's. I'm enjoying the new found sound of a tube amp. The forte II's I bought in 1990,with a carver pre amp, power amp and cd player. Still have everything.Forte's have Crites tweeters and new drop in crossovers. I would also know what tubes are sounding good with others who have this amp. Just sighned up today, look forward to sharing and learning.

Welcome to AK. Congrats on your new tube amp!

A set of Ruby's that I had spare for a Marshall guitar amp.
Swapped the front tubes, they aren't really true "preamp" for russian Soyuz rocket hobbies. Came in lovely original early 70's USSR boxes. Did improve the sound.

Hobbit,
Thanks.
I'll see when/if I receive, what brand 6n2 it comes with it. Besides Russian tubes I see online, maybe I could also try 12ax7 with adapter sockets. I don't know if thier gain is different and affect. Importer says it can be done.
I'm not a tube expert.

Im actually using russian 6n2p tubes with adapters in our heavily gigged guitar amps. They sound great and are far more robust than the standard 12AX7 tubes. I bought a job lot of very high quality militar tubes some years back for pennies before the world and its mother discovered them. The A9 comes with 6N9PJ but I managed to find a pair of 6N9p to 6n2p tube converters on ebay. The A10 looks to be a little more point to point wired than the A9 but they are very similar and will sound alike. I love the smooth sound of my A9 , great for vinyl
As to the 12AX7 conversion. Yes. Need a pair of these converters

Does allow for a lot of fun tube rolling

Your A/D/S should be a good match. At 8 wpc, my APPJ EL34 single ended played very loud and distortion free when paired with my L810.
Thanks. I'm thinking same. The L470s are nice vintage speakers. And most efficient I have to use.

Amps been on order two weeks. Yet to ship. Waiting is stressful!!
