It ran the Forte II's good. I'm using it for my rp600m setup now. The Forte's are with the DH110,and Nuforce sta 200. Jam,Bluegrass,I like all kinds of music. Widespread Panic,Lettuce,Devil Makes Three,all the way to the classic rock. I was young in the90's so I love me some Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.I live in Seattle.Bela Fleck, Chick Corea,Ozric Tentacles. I really love all music.
On Impulse I ordered a Boyuu Reisong A10 EL34, class A. Any experience? Add your opinion on it.

Anyone with this amp is welcome to add thier opinion on it.
It has exceeded all my expectations after 50+ hours on tubes. Especially with jazz vocals.
Important note for background:
Now, I have no experience with other low power tube amps. So can't give any comparisons. My experience is with solid state, and my Rogues amps. No experience with high efficiency horn speakers, also.

Hi all, received this amp today. After hooking all my gear up I powered on. Noticed that the right EL34B tube wasn't 'glowing'....and the right channel was also not working. Will a dead power tube cause this?

So I bought this amp as a bit of an experiment. Great reviews so figured there was nothing to lose. Currently running these two lines into this amp which is powering Klipsch Heresy II speakers:
1.)Rega Planar 3 w/Exact cartridge c/w Rega TTPSU and Rega Phono mm MK3.
2.) Pro-Ject Classic w/ Orotofon Bronze cartridge w/Parks audio Puffin/ and Budgie preamps (switch between the two)
I understand there hasn't been much burn-in time but quick first impressions is it lacks bottom end with the Heresy speakers even with the plentiful adjustments available with the Parks Audio Puffin preamp. Detail seems to be there though. I'll give this amp plenty more listening time though.

My previous amp/receiver was an Onkyo TX-NR757, but really performed quite well. I was really interested though in removing my music playback out and away from the home theater, hence why I purchased this amp.

On to some Radiohead OK Computer....
The EL34s that came with mine have a logo G shaped with a wavey line inside. Not sure of brand. I ran them for just 15 hours. Sounded ok but I didn't give them time to break in.
I rolled in Tungsol el34b and Soviet Rocket 5n2p. At 50+ hours, they do give a little mid bass and treble. They don't seem to exaggerate the mids, with my ADS speakers. Reviews mentioned Tungsols were balanced across frequencies.
I've little experience with Heresy speakers, to know what to expect. Thier efficiency should help streatch that 6 wpc for bass. Try some placement changes nearer corners?
After sound break in, if mid bass still lacking, try other EL34s. I found tube reviews on EL34 tube brands and models for thier sound signature. At The Tube Store, there were tube reviews, which are of course subjective. Everyone hears differently.

Just when I thought I was finished buying stuff, it looks like that itch will need scratching, as well as my bank account needing another drain.
I'm going to get into tubes. Lord.....

I don't know if online reviews noting A10 mechanical problems have all slipped past me. But, I have not seen one. That got me to order one, besides well known online reviews were good.
It's not as detailed/resolving as my Rogue amps. It won't make distorted recordings sound good. Old jazz recordings sound a little fuzzy to me. But well recorded jazz sax and vocals have a richness to them. I think the softness of the amp can be a double edge sword. But for $$, I'm very happy with its sound and quality build, so far.
I was planning to add a nice sub to my Maggie system. Instead I was drawn to this amp for bedroom listening. Almost near field.

About only 10 hours in. Spinning Chet Baker - Sings, sounding outstanding. Mind u the new tone poet pressing is fantastic. Think the tubes are starting to break in....
I bought this amp and just got it delivered today.
Right off the jump, one of the smaller tubes had bent pins.
To make matters worse, it won't even power on. I believe this is the case because none of the tubes light up and I have left it on and running for about an hour now.
Any suggestions?

Did you leave it on with speakers connected or without them?
Tube amps should not be on without speakers or headphones.
With amp unpluged, verify tubes are oriented correctly. I don't know how familiar you are with tubes. Manual I received also had instructions on installing the tubes. Did you receive that also? EL34s have key shape on tube center pin. Others orient by looking at pin gaps/spacing. Must be oriented correctly. Read manual through.
Be careful how much you wiggle them to remove.
As Stonegarden says, speaker hooked up, required before turning on. Don't blow it up.
This could get past my pay grade in a hurry, trouble shooting issues.
