What else is there to say:

Wow, just freakin' WOW!
I got a brand new HP laptop with Windows10 in the box and now have zero interest in setting it up.
Just love throwing way my meeger retirement on **** that either stops working, breaks or is outdated by my next birthday.

Well, I'm on my 3rd Win 10 PC (did the free update from 7 on 2 of them) and have had zero issues with any of them to date.

I was apprehensive about doing the update to my bench PC as it has a GPIB card to communicate with my test equipment, but even that worked without any driver updating or intervention on my part.

All updates regularly done.

Although I do get those phone calls about my Windows computer... :)

When I was shutting down about 3 nights ago it gave me the option to update and then it would shutdown.
I said ok. and went to bed.
Started up next day fine, no problems

I have never had any problems with W10; updates or other things. It just runs, and runs, and runs...

Back in the days of XP, things were MUCH worse. I re installed XP so many times, or restored an image just to keep it going.

Never had a problem with 10 and all updates have been smooth. Any issue I've had has been unrelated to the OS.

Apparently, my windows 10 laptop decided to change time zones on me. Thanks, Microsoft. It's been smoothish otherwise - ignoring the overly intrusive firewall and other crap there to save users from the truck sized holes in the OSs' security. Oh yeah, and USB support still blows. Just like printing, networking, sound, video....The whole 'save something to the desktop and it doesn't appear for a few minutes' thing is annoying, too. As is flushing the ARP cache all the time...

Etc etc etc. But it's got tiles and Cortina!

It'd be nice if the next version would focus on getting the crap that barely works 1/2 the time to actually work all the time, instead of stupid features I don't need. And my coworkers wonder why my home machine's a Mac...

7 wasn't perfect either. Apparently, there's a script in 7 that deletes all your shortcuts from the desktop if more than 5 or so can't resolve. Well, that's nice, isn't it? I'm not plugged into the company server 24/7, MS.
