One Way Aisles?

You know what? Yeah, it is a little inconvenient and a little annoying. So is wearing a mask, and not being able to go to live music shows and such right now. But you also know what? F-you if you can't follow the rules and attempts of stores and other businesses trying to make the best of this crappy situation and keep people as safe as they can be. A choice was made, but the management or higher up. Be a good citizen and respect it.

F-you otherwise.

There's so much about the grocery store experience that shows whether or not somebody is a good or bad person, even before COVID-19. Take the shopping cart for instance. You should put it back when you're done. But nobody is going to tell you to do it. It's not illegal to not put it away. In fact the grocery store even pays somebody to collect them and put them away. But baring physical disability, we all know that when we are done with them, we should put them away in their designated places.

Classy. So you feel that I should have blindly followed the policy of one way aisles and continued on even though someone directly ahead of me was coughing and hacking up a storm? Rather then turning around in order to protect myself?

When I shop groceries I usually do it in a one-direction circuit so a directional floor plan wouldn't bother me. However going back up the isle to get something makes more sense than goin' 'round again to get to something. I also freely pass by anyone stopped at a particular item. One thing I've seen repeatedly around here is when you approach and calmly say "excuse me" is that folks politely get out of your way and I do the same. Everyone's on board with masking in public buildings and oddly enough I've noticed more politeness that ordinarily shown.

you guys dont pay to unlock a cart?
here most carts need a coin deposit from $0.25 to $1.00
to encourage you to return the cart for your money back and discourage theft

i dont carry cash often because of my job, but make sure i always have few coins because of this

Only Aldi and Lidl do that around here.

If anyone wants in on the action, I'm taking bets on which thread will be locked first.

This one, the "interconnects" one, or the "despicable" one?

This one has chilled a little - I'm going with the "Despicable" thread - of course, when I saw the thread title all I could think of was the Minions - Bob Stuart and Kevin.
