One Way Aisles?

I shop early, less people, not due to the Covid-19 virus, just like too. I'll be dammed if I need to walk to the arrow side of an isle, especially when the isle is empty. I broke the rule at least 3 times yesterday.

And most of you old eff’ers complain about the entitled attitude of younger generations

I do not understand the hypocrisy

:beerchug:

Edit: probably a safe bet if I looked through older beer virus threads you rule breakers had something to say about the young people at the beach and other things lol :D

I’m chewed up real bad so I don’t pay attention to what matter of conjecture any small group of people enforce over the larger group. But having one-way isles is just another misguided attempt at making us all seem to be the same. It’s so bad of a situation subjectively that society has to treat all people the same irregardless of the situation. It’s like no thought involved. Old people in pain need to go the shortest distance from one item to the next because most old people don’t have family taking care of them. If a store constructs the floor plan where the isles are too close together, they should not go to that store and tell others why they think the store is substandard.

Then where outside of safety issues does a store tell customers what to do ???

And if somome is that worried about it there really is no reason to leave your house. Even many rural/remote places are offering online ordering with delivery services, there are also plenty of community services to take care of runs to the store. Just because your scared does not make your "rule" breaking any more justified.

A retail store has no legal right to tell anyone what to do beyond safety regulations that are instituted by the state. If no one offends another person verbally or by written obscene wording on clothing or by the stench of unsanitary behavior a public retail store is just like any public convenience. Open to the public....has certain legal parameters concerning the rights of the individual citizens patronizing the store. As long as a patron does not break any local state or federal laws or safety regulations, the store leagally can not Institute any rules of its own.

A retail store can only make suggestions....

They are a private company and you are on their premises. They have every right to set guidelines as they see fit. Its really not that hard of a concept.

Negative....

Any store open to the public is legally under the same legal status and legal obligations as riding the public transit. Not everyone is allowed into a privately owned companies property legally because it’s not open to the public. Legally, a person entering private property is a completely different situation than entering a public domain which a retail store is.

Public domain is not private domain.....

Whatever man, if they have one way aisle’s and you feel the need to not observe it, and the manager is so inclined they can 100% tell you not to come back in front of a law enforcement officer (a no trespassing order) I have been on the LEO side of plenty of those.

You do not have a right to service in a private setting.

Edit: add in all the local, state and Federal guidance on social distancing and you can be looking for somewhere else to shop pretty easily.

At least I've got a (albeit flimsy) excuse for mostly ignoring the walk arrows - I'm an amputee and tend to take the shortest distance between points. ;-}

Speaking of which, I just had a bit of fun at the local grocery. I'd see a "wrong way" aisle where I knew something I wanted was only a few feet away, so I'd start making an annoying beeping sound and back in, technically following the rools ... <G>

'Scuse me ... do I have to take my shoes off first?
