Opt80 Needs Your Help

Something in the mail from PA, too. I've helped out two siblings in similar situations, and I know how hard it can be. Best wishes for the future!

Mine will, too. Postal Oriface is, of course, closed on Sat., otherwise it would have gone out then. Lemme know when you get it-I'd be interested to see how long it takes.-Sandy G.

I didn't think about the postage

Only put one stamp on it, we'll have to see what happens, I'm closer to Canada than Ohio.

one stamp on a letter size envelope is fine

Hey Clay,
Thanks alot for your help

Hi Rich,

Alan I know you haven't asked but I got some gear kicking around that sees no use and is taking up space. Perhaps with Kam's permission we could start a thread selling off this unwanted unused stuff at bargain prices to members only and send the proceeds up to help your sister?

Nahh this is just clutter I got lying around nothing special or mystic but folks might pay a little dough for it. Makes me get rid of it and helps sopmeone at the same time ;)

Follow-up to Thor's idea - I have this Kenwood KR-5600 that I picked up more as a challenge than anything. As soon as I get the parts and get her running she was going to be an AK auction item in any case.

Looked at it further today - blown driver transistor in addition to the output that was blown. Charming folks Kenwood - no numbers on the transistor!! So I found a Serv Man on eBay. Presidential portrait in the mail.

Alan and Maureen.

My family has a history of depression and I can fully understand when someone you know and love is impacted. Everyone in the family (and close friends) are affected; not just the person suffering directly.

It took a lot of courage to come forward both by Alan, and Maureen, to allow Alan to publicly name her. Thankfully, now more and more people understand depression is not the fault of the person suffering, it is a disease. I remember when I was younger, if a person was depressed, the pervasive thought was to tell them to "cheer up, come, be happy". Now with medication (if required) and counselling, the results are amazing.

Alan and Maureen, a green Liz is on the way.

All the best to Maureen and all who love her.

Regards,
Joe

Wow!! I am sorry, I don't frequent the off-topic forum much, just seen this for the first time today. I will definately send something tomorrow, I don't have much, but I will help any way I can. AK is the best! Thanks Kam, Grump, and all those who let this sort of thing happen!! Keep your chin up you guys, things will get better for you, stay in the fight, good things will come.

Take care,

Ron
