Paradigm PS 1000 Subwoofer

Anybody have any experience/opinions on the Paradigm PS 1000 subwoofer? Would it do well with Dynaco A-25 speakers for Classical & Jazz?

It's one of my least favorite Paradigm subs. I owned it many moons ago and did not find it to be very musical.

I had a PS1000 for a few years. I really shopped around to find an affordable sub with tight, detailed bass and compared quite a few. The PS1000 is one of the best cheap subs you'll find. I used it mainly for music, along with an Audio Control Richter Scale EQ and active crossover.
I finally took a big jump up in speakers and sold the PS1000 to a friend who's still using it.

I had both an early version and a later one for a while. Overall good value, I found location to be quite important in my setup. And for some reason I recall having the
ports pointing into the room, it was a while back.
