A 1.25k can put out over 1800 watt peaks. So that means big line arrays. Maybe XR 290's, XRT 30's and the newest XRT 2k's and 2.1 K's. Other speakers, Maybe the M6 from Magico and the two top of the line Wilsons. The M9 from Magico needs to be bi-amped with MC 611's. Klipsch and JBL don't make any consumer speakers. Maybe some of the speakers that the Italian company Mac works with will take that kind of power. Infinity made some large line arrays that demanded a lot of power. I guess you could stack 3 pairs of ML-4's and connect to the 2 ohms tap. But the tweeters are sort of fragile. JBL makes some relatively small line array speakers you could stack four or 5 high that would take that kind of power, but then you would need another pair of 1.25 amps to drive the matching dual 18 inch sub woofers. EV makes small line array speakers you could stack and you could add subs , too.

The 1201 and 1.2 K amps are my favorite audition amps whether they are driving Klipsch speakers at a 1/2 watt or Magico speakers or Mcintosh speakers at 500 watts. Telarc, Sheffield, and Reference recordings have very large dynamic ranges.

I just replaced my MC1000s with MC1.25KW. I run McIntosh XR290s those are impossible to find. They sound great with current McIntosh line arrays too. The Sonus Faber Aida 2 sounds similar to me but have only heard that at a dealer. I do recommend Biwire or Triwire speaker cables to lose congestion. Otherwise the Bass modulates the mids. The guy I purchased the 1.25s from ran salon 2s but neither the amps or the speakers were broke in.
