The original Slant Leg cabinet does not have feet. After a period of sales on the Slant leg cabinet the cabinet was changed to a different style. The L52 is the more available cabinet. It has 5" high panels with Panloc brackets. The L52A is the same as the L52 but was purchased from a different Vendor. As indicated the L52 also fits the MC-2505. Mark - McIntosh Service Center
FWIW, they are interchangeable.
I use L12 slant leg cabinets on components that would have been sold with L52 cabinets. It's really a personal preference. Some, like myself, prefer the look & finish of the older slant leg variety.
Me too. So now im looking another slant leg L12 to match the MX110cabinet for the MC2505. I have an L52 (in new condition) which im looking to sell or trade for an L12
L12 is slightly shallower than the L52 however the front opening dimensions are identical. The extra depth of the L52 was to accommodate the deeper chassis of MC2125/2120 & MC2155/MC2150 which otherwise shared the "standard" 5 7/16" x 16" faceplate dimensions of most McIntosh products of the time.

Good point. Also note, for use with the aforementioned amps, you will need to retain the original panlocs locks that were mated to those particular amps.
They do stick out the back slightly, but work just fine (I use this set up with a 2155 and formerly a 2125). Due to my particular configuration, this issue is not visible.
