Too small to be even a mono 500 class A. I've seen F5s that almost as big as that.
You're probably looking at class AB, with class A up to a point.

You're correct, the spec sheet says driver stage is class A, outputs are "extended class A-B" whatever that means.

The store I worked at had the almost identical predecessor PMF5150 on the floor (literally, you could not put it on anything!) for quite a while. That thing was incredible. The bass was astounding. It got speakers that seemed to have no low end on other amps to go deep and it never ran out of steam.

Sure, the less powerful and somewhat more expensive Mark Levinsons sounded better in some ways, but the big Perreaux was an experience.

It was certainly A/B and probably about 150lbs. The 3150/3350 were very nice also, I would love to have one of those now with the matching SM-3, gold plated PC board and all.

Disagree that it's too small, i own an amp that runs full class A, is bench tested at over 600wpc @8ohms, weighs less, and is in a smaller(very slightly) package.

Had a Perreaux pmf-3150, 300 wpc, built like a tank and with innards like a 427 Chevy engine. Traded it for Klipsch Cornwalls- and rued the day I did it. Best sounding power amp I've heard...
