I'd definetley go there, but maybe give them a few more days to get completely setup.

It's about 800 sq feet of essentialy one big showroom + back office. When I was there not everything was tagged, and they were literally pulling stuff out of boxes and setting up. At the time there were just 2 metal bakers racks with maybe 9 amps each on them, 1/2 doz speaker pairs on the floor, and 2 or 3 TT's out. By an initial eyeballing, the equipment condition varied from a few newer peices to mostly what looked like an accumulation of a personal collection including a couple of peices not even bothered to be dusted off. Not all the vintage stuff seemed "fully restored", but I don't think that's their game plan.

I did see some some Altec and Klipsch, some B&O speakers, a Rek-o-cut TT, two mid-size Sansui amps, but didn't spot any Mac or any Linn they had in the ad. Maybe it wasn't unpacked yet. What was tagged I remember thinking that's about average ebay prices, but they should really clean up some of this stuff (physically). I'm sure they are willing to negotiate on items.

Again, it's definetly worth going there. They should be pretty well unpacked & setup by sometime next week. By that time I would imagine they'd have some of it plugged in for listening. They did have a what appeared to be a listening couch, but come to think of it I didn't see any amp or speaker selectors and the components weren't really organanized that way. I'm sure they've got something in mind. Probably do a quick setup on whatever components people are interested in.

I havent been to any of the stores youve listed.Im a west sider,so I havent been out that way to explore those.The only problem with all the stores listed,including that new one,is that they are all closed on Sunday and Monday,the two days Im off.
But the new store seems to be more my speed,although I do spend a lot of time at Audionut.

they had a vintage/used department somewhere down there on either camel back or indian school road, where i bought a really nice yamaha cr-450 receiver when visiting my brother back in 2001-- and that's what got me into this whole vintage audio nut house...they've since closed, internetted to death, i guess

Theres a vintage repair shop thats been in town forever that offers up a lot of vintage equipment.But none of what I tested worked properly at all,and the prices were higher than ebay on a good day.I also took in my original 701 for repair,and they couldnt get it right,even after 3 visits and $150.I wont slander there name on a public forum,but if youre local,pm me,and Ill tell you which one it was.
