The old PC is a workhorse alright. The 4425's are perfect for computer use/ extreme near field monitoring
That is not a receiver either. It's a MAC C32 preamp. I guess it could be kinda a receiver as it dies have the monitor amp which is what I'm drivin the JBL's with.
Like I said, this is all just a temp set up on both systems though the other isystem is close to what the main rig will look like componet wise.

.....just for laughs, here's a shot before my flatscreen two years ago....I was determined
to get that Mitsubishi CRT up in the air....I like my bright corners....with only the surrounds on,
I can stand right in front of either side of front mains, and they sound like they're playing.....
Nice set-up! If I may give some advice? I think your system needs a pickup in the low end. Adding a "subwoofer" can help bring a full sound and add a nice punch to movies and bass guitar. Take a look at Walmart, anything silver and shiny is usually very good.
But seriously, have you measured sound levels in that room? If so, I'd be really interested in the numbers. I can't even imagine the amount of bass your getting in there!

Very compotent little rig. We've been running one in the Kitchen for a few months and really like it.

..........on the bottom part, no, I've never measured anything concerning them, and I only have the middle one hooked up....three would surely fill an arena, and it might just take two....they measure 136db at max 2500 watts....a strapped K2 sends 2500 2 ohm bullets, but I don't strap amp channels, period, and that's only what I hear from "my" system.....
.....I've been told some casinos in Vegas are using this sub for their music shows....if they've got one cranking, the oscillations could probably be felt about anywhere in the building....I love the presence they present....the four 12 inch subwoofers, with two on each side, the outer one in a vented inside chamber reinforced by a second one right behind it, with one side of the cabinet wired in parallel against the other side wired in series for a 4 ohm overall, are then ultimately cross-wired so both sides of the cabinet are out of phase with each other, and all move the same direction left and right across the cabinet.....
.....that handsaw action thrusts wonderful oscillations out the front door that present soft but strong qualities....what you hear and feel is a soft and breathy paaaaaaaahhh with distinctly detailed oscillations that are bold, defined, resolved very well, and "clean"....hope all that made sense....I also like the fact they're front-firing....that's my favorite, where I'm in the direct cone of dispersion, with no significant bounces yet....I want to "feel" the bass guitar coming from the front soundstage, not hear the air being fried in the whole room....just a preference....thanks for the response, Caseworker.....

The TT is a Technics SL-3200 fitted with a Grado Green cart and a Shure M44-7 in a spare headshell for that high-mileage vinyl...
The speakers are Cerwin-Vega D3s - found at a garage sale for very cheap-had to replace the woofers of course. It sounds quite good! I only listen on weekends mostly-not enough time during the week,but I'd like to change that...

Nice set up you have there. Part of your tt's issues might be from having the subwoofer directly underneath it.
What are those legs under your tt shelf? They look like adjustable dumbell bars.

Considering I flip burgers for a living this setup is all I can afford for the time being. I really enjoy it and think I got the best bang for my buck. I got my sansui for three dollars at the thrift store! I consider my guitar audio as well!

+1:thmbsp:. It's all about the music, as long as you enjoy the setup, there isn't a thing wrong with it. That Sansui is a pretty good looking receiver, the turntable is probably pretty great as well, is the faceplate actually metal, looks like it in one picture.
Also, very neat guitar...is it a hofner, or a teisco*(kay,etc) copy?...also digging the orange amp, I keep telling myself I should try to get one of those things someday (I use a "decent" little practice Vox)
*the spring on the bridge looks a lot like a teisco, as do the pickups a bit, either way, I bet it sounds great!
my first piece of vintage was a 661. Loved that thing, got it when I was maybe 10.

Its very good!,clear vinyl with nothing on the label but white, its a reissue, looks like an old bootleg. I'd like to get volume two soon as well, it is more psychedelic

Looks like you've got a nice setup there. Are those Grado headphones older or something? I've never heard of that model. Which Grado cartridge are you running there?

The faceplate is metal and i am so pleased with this turntable. It is the best I have owned and runs very smooth. The brand of guitar is Raven and it is made in japan possibly late 1960's. nobody I have showed it to knows anything about it. as far as the orange amp goes it is a very solid little amp. nuilt much better then other competitors in the same price range. I like orange tone.

A company called Allessandro buys grado's sr 60's and improves upon them. they are brand new and where shipped to me under a month ago. I am quite thrilled with them.
The Cartridge is a grado black cartridge with a green stylus
