Why thanky. It's an apartment, though it's the upper level and is very home-like...

Yea, they are physically large (though I'm sure the 150's are quite larger), but the sound doesn't really have the depth that the Polks do. Though it's odd, I'm alright with it (seeing as the JBL's are on their way to a buddy). Have never heard a pair of Vandersteens, though...
 
.....just for laughs, here's a shot before my flatscreen two years ago....I was determined
to get that Mitsubishi CRT up in the air....I like my bright corners....with only the surrounds on,
I can stand right in front of either side of front mains, and they sound like they're playing.....

Here's a couple quick pictures of my bedroom setup. Nothing spectacular in the way of gear but it sounds pretty darn nice for what it is. All mostly fits on a shelf of my bookcase. Just a Sherwood A/V receiver, Technics 5 disc changer, a couple Optimus speakers and a "Killer Sub" passive subwoofer. Not sure if passive woofers are used often or not but this little guy sounds quite nice. Very clean bass and can get quite low. I will probably be adding my dad's old JVC double cassette deck he doesn't use anymore. I'm also using my portable Sharp iPod speakers (very nice sound for what they are) as a dock to keep power going to my iPod when I use it as a source. I know most of the components are probably considered BPC but it's enjoyable just the same. I am attempting to set up a vintage "Main System" at the moment but that is going very slowly. Without further adieu... the pics of my bedroom system.

Now that it is shaping up it's time to post some pictures. When the progeny left for college I inherited the space. Not that I am home much to use it it's now my office. A place to put all my hunting and fishing gear along with my stereo and other sundries.

I snatched the console from my folks house. I know it's at least 51 years old. My dad had it built. I remember as a kid that it held a Heathkit pre with radio and an amp (or something like that). There was also an old Gerrard turntable that would play 4 platters automatically. You could slide it out on it's rails so you could load it easily. Then slide it in and hit the start.

Seems proper that the console be setup to hold some tube gear again. Oh, there was also a set of speakers that went with this. 15" and a tweeter in those. The cabinets were tossed and smaller boxes were built for them. They are still in use at the folks house. It was a very nice three piece set back in the day.

My main. Marantz 2226 which functions as an input selector and phono stage for that K12G that I made. Both can be used independently. The Klips are plugged into the tubes and the 7's are plugged into the Marantz via a sub.
