Be nice if you became addicted to CRAC, and let us come here that.

The decorative black line on the walls extending through the acoustic panels in yellow is very pleasing to the eye. Makes for a sense of balance and harmony.

Thank you but it's not by design, the yellow is just the paint behind the moulding I removed to put up those frames that housed PRG panels that I used when I owned Martin Logan speakers.

Panasonic S2 plasma? I have one of them. Good TV!

Yes, it is very nice. Great picture. I read MANY, MANY, MANY reviews before I bought it. I wanted to go with one of the 3D models, but figure I'll wait a year or two to let them work out all the bugs first.

I have plenty of equipment but unfortunately my space is very limited in this small dorm. But in may I am getting an apartment so that will be much better.

RIT? I lived in Art House my freshman year before moving into Perkins. My roommate and I had a pretty rocking system for the three years we lived in that apartment.

I figure this is as good of a place as any for a first post......so here I go.

Just finished pulling the crossovers out of the Klipsch's and getting my biamp setup complete a few days ago.....sounds pretty killer (although mine is the only decent setup I've ever heard.....maybe that's a good thing!).

Computer as source (DAC on its way)
Hafler DH-101 preamp that I cleaned up, might mod
Behringer CX2310 active crossover, I made the XLR to RCAs
Toshiba SC-335 amp for the tweeters
Adcom GFA5500 amp for the woofers
Def Tech PF12 sub with a BASH 300 plate amp
Klipsch RF-25s minus passive crossovers, and I added some gold-plated binding posts (cheap wall-plate add-ins from Menards)
DIY speaker cables and other various cables

All done as cheap as possible, and I like to make stuff so it's a lot of fun. I started getting into audio 5-6 months ago, and recently was bitten by the 2-channel bug so I'm getting rid of my surround sound stuff. Movies actually sound surprisingly good with only the two speakers, as little as I watch movies.........music is playing all the time!

Natehansen66 - Hi and welcome to AK. Mods, DIY, cheap (in a good way), music...you're going to fit right in.

Did you see a big improvement in the RF-25s' after you removed the xover and went active?
