Yeah and I'm happy to have the room. I just really want to make it a nice place to sit and listen. I end up listening to the living room set up- old Kenwood and a pair of SDAs- just 'cause it's a nicer place to spend time.

That shelf is definitely at (aerosmith in my ears...) "Critical Mass". ..

might try wedging a thin block of wood between those two shelves....

I had to laugh, cause that's about what most of my stuff looks like.....:D

Lol, yeah, it is only until I build a proper rack. I am hoping sometime in the next few weeks to do that (before school starts again :tears:)
 
I've posted pics of these pefore, but I've done some rearranging and finally installed the drop ceiling in the basement... what a difference it makes. The room is much more dead now. I also finally solved the amp delima (Onkyo M504 or Denon POA-1500) and went with the Onkyo. Both are good amps, but with the deadness of the room, the Denon just sounded a bit too bland. The Onkyo is a little brighter and makes the Logans come alive more. Also added a Cambridge Audio Azur 540P phono preamp. It makes a great turntable even better.

In the mancave, I picked up an old Grundig AM/FM/SW stereo console. It sounds awesome on the FM, but there's not aux. inputs to plug anything into. Makes a good stand and conversation piece.

I also like your 850 avatar, and you have a driver's (passenger's?) seat in your room, too! I also drive an 850 sedan, with over 210,000 miles on it. I'm the original owner... I have no issues with the car, but when it retires I will keep the driver's seat myself!

Somehow I missed your 8/5 post. I haven't seen those pictures. I remember seeing some photos with a lot of flowers awhile back.

It's amazing how all those receivers just disappeared! Great looking system.

my little bit...

I'm currently savin up to try to put my hands on some vintage yammie gear....
but until then the ol' surround sound receiver has to do double duty.
hey, it aint perfect, but it gets the job done for now! :music:

This is the downstairs system, I do most of my listening here while I am surfing AK (my good system is in my room). This one is a Technics SL-DD22 connected to a JVC surround sound receiver running through some Baby Advent II's I refomaed over the weekend.

and this is my comfy chair and foot rest. Yes the chair is orange and is older than me, and yes that is a computer case, at least I don;t have to look at it when I am sitting in it.
