Better than most would believe, I think. They scale up impressively as upstream electronics improve...very impressively, indeed. I might actually prefer them over the L250's I owned, but the 19's still do things the 590's can't quite achieve. Almost, but not quite.

Remarkable speakers for the money, no doubt.

This is where I live. Vintage married to modern. Mostly due to cost constraints. But I also really wouldn't find this hobby as adventurous / fun if it wasn't assembled in this manner.
IE, a good buddy of mine with a very fine system, but all modern, to me just lacks "character"?
Anyway enjoy and keep rolling the combos yet to come.

Very nice. Diploes set up just right and in a room that's had some tuning of the acoustics. Those electronics ain't so shabby, either. I'm sure it sounds fantastic. What are the dimensions of your room?

Thanks tomlinmgt! The room is 18'x20' with 7' ceiling. Not the greatest but not a complete square! Still experimenting with the acoustical treatments but it's sounds pretty good. Next project will be to get the turntable off the podium and mounted to the wall behind where it sits now. Should help with the soundstage a bit more.

I know this sounds semi-obnoxious and know-it-all, but you should try moving your speakers more laterally out to the sides, and a more forward such that they are in front of the rack.

This will make a major difference in imaging and soundstage depth

On the left hand side of the rack, a Sony CDP C79ES CD player... Below is a Grundig 'Fine Arts' T-9000 Tuner and matching Grundig A-9000 integrated amp. On the lowest shelf is a Grundig CCT-903 dual cassette deck. The almost -all Grundig stereo... ;-)
They made some real nice solid-state equipment in the 80s and 90s - they've become some of my favorite pieces of gear... Rare in the US, and sound really great together....
