• The move to the new server is done. There are some software and database maintenance updates in process. This has us passing the hat around to help out. We appreciate any donations. Seriously, even a dollar helps. The payment page may be found here - https://www.audiokarma.org/support.html

Picture from your listening spot right now!

Steaks on the grill and Miles Davis on the bluetooth speaker.

+1 for the Weber too

What are those giant speakers? Did you paint the plinth on your TT to match the room?
Those speakers are Pioneer HPM-200. As for the turntable, it is a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo. It came stock with that nice glossy red!

Just for kicks, today I removed the Onkyo Integra A-8500 and put the Pioneer SX-1010 in its place. Nothing wrong with the Onkyo, just wanted to try the Pioneer with the Polk RTi-A5 towers. So far, they play nice together.
In this listening area we mainly listen to CDs, Cassettes, and FM, and TV but that's a different system.

What the heck is happening to photos I've posted? I see just a "placeholder" with "2857.IMG" where the photo was, and I'm not alone. It's happened to a number of other posts.

From the top of every page:

With the move to a new server there are sections of the database that need to be rebuilt. The search engine database is one that will take a day or two. Search will be really slow during this time. Also, things like linked pictures need to be reindexed. So, those won't be viewable. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these tasks are completed.

I guess I wasn't paying attention, sorry!

I hope the photos aren't lost.

I was going to sell a couple of pairs.. but decided not too.. If I do it would probably be the 300 SE.

The 10s are on the 535II and the 12s and 15s each get a 555. The 555s are on the lab output of the 345, and the 535II and Def Tech sub are on the normal output.

I know it kind of looks like a cluster feck, but it actually sounds pretty decent. And for drum and bass stuff, well of course it feckin pounds pretty hard.

That little Kleenex box Tannoy sub is just a speaker stand. It wouldn't do a thing lol..

First photo is my living room and second is my outdoor studio. Very similar equipment from Marantz, Technics, and NHT. I have a downstairs family room HT which uses a Yamaha RX-V990, Technics 1210 GR, Onkyo C-S5VL, Celestion DL-8II and NHT SuperOnes for the 5.0 speaker set-up. That's where most of the records, CDs, and cassettes are. The Technics GR and GR2 run the VM540ML carts and the 1500C in the living room uses the vaunted VM95ML. I wish the speakers could be on stands in the living room but it's a cross I have to bear, sigh.

In my last post, the setup sounded.. not that good. It did get loud as feck though, lots of everything lol..

It hit pretty hard tbh. But the old school Vegas are way too bright for my liking. I like the new gen better.

But this is how I have it setup now, I ditched my TV stand and this thing sounds a lot better.

I did flick the switch on the back of the 555s to mono. And the little 535II is running the10s.

Also in the mix is my Monitor Audio FB210, and Def Tech PF-12 to scrape the bottom as much as I can.

This is my Market Place build. I did buy the Monitor Audio new in store back in like 2006 I think..

The rest I have cobbled together December. Behind my couch is a full Def Tech HT setup, plus some Energy and PSB towers.
