Hi, Larry. A suggestion from the peanut gallery: turn the caps lock off.

The CS-T7300 were sold in military PX's only, and were a 1991 model. They sold for $225 each.
They would probably be great party speakers with plenty of mid-bass and good mid-range. I wouldn't expect them to be refined by any definition, but good ol' boy speaker systems.

I don't know what you mean by military PX's as I am english sorry
But I can say that the guy I bought them from said that he brought them in to the country when he was in the us air force at mildenhall in uk and that is all I know as there is no info on the net.
just to run down there are a 4way setup rated at 240w in oak look finish there stand 42" h 14"w 16"1/4 d and have 9 drivers in each
1x11" woofer 5"1/2" mid 2x 2"1/2" tweeters 1x 2"1/2" ultra high tweeter and 4x 1"1/2" surround tweeters. does that sound right to you
I have had laods of speakers but I have never hard any thing that sounds like these full range floorstanders rgds LARRY

I got these 5yrs ago and since then I have had no problems. And I would not sell them as I only paid £180 for the pair. Which is peanuts!! and all the drivers are available from pioneer I am told by my local pioneer dealer going by the part numbers. Also I would like another pair. thanx Dave for your info on these

Sorry Larry, as noted, Post eXchange is the 'department store' on a US military base. One of the 'perks' for the possibility of getting shot is good deals on food and stuff for servicemen and their families (oh, yeah, servicewomen, too).
I'm not surprised they sound decent. I have a late-80s pair of CS-C9900, a 15-inch, 3-way speaker system that sounds darn decent. Because of a comment in a different thread, I've fired them up again a few times (driven by the Denon POA-2200 amp and the Carver C-1 preamp). No thump, but good bass, solid and deep, good mids, only slightly muffed highs (not as clean and detailed as one might want). Overall all a decent speaker system.

I run mine on a sx 950/sx5570 and linn sondek and the cd is a musical fidelity E-600. I also use the dvd player the pioneer DV-737. If your are intressed I also run rotel ra-1312 amp and a rt-1025 tuner I have other new pioneer gear but it is crap like the av (pioneer vsx-909-rds amp) I use it is great for films but when it comes to music just forget it. what do you think of the new stuff and i am talking about the stuff that we can afford not the micky mouse stuff which costs telephone numbers.......RGDS LARRY
