Hey Dak, how much are you willing to pay? I recently got a pair with beautiful cabinets. All drivers working EXCEPT both midranges blown, for $250 and felt I got a bargain. Questions only you can answer are what are your skills, what are your interests, what do you want to learn (first), how much time and money are you willing to invest in making your speakers sound the way you want? If you are a wood worker, then the rough cabinets aren't a show stopper. If your a soldering fiend, then crossovers won't scare you. IMO Rob is low on his estimate, but he may not consider the HPM 100 to be the holy grail as he has found speakers more to his liking. Refoaming can be done. Drivers can be replaced. Crossovers can be recapped and/or modified. Binding posts should be replaced. I would go $175 for a pair with beat cabinets assuming most of the drivers work.
