Pull up one side of a fuse to test. Testing the fuses in circuit will just test other things also in line with the fuses.

Yes there are jumpers in the Main in/Pre out jacks.
Since the fuses are soldered in I thought the only way to test them would be in circuit but I guess I could lift one side to see it they are good out of circuit. They are REALLY dusty and I can't really see if the internal wiring of the fuse is all there.
I noticed that the big caps were connected together with braid ,I'll attempt to attach a photo. I didn't do the cap connection,should I remove the braid and replace it with wire? Thank you for this conversation.

Concerning the Power light,I'll have to Ohm that out tomorrow,but there is no sound coming out of main speaker terminals with a CD signal fed to the Aux in of the amp.
I believe I had the switches set correctly but I'll have to check it out tomorrow. It/s 11:42 PM and if it were to suddenly work I would be happy that it worked but I'm not sure that my neighbors would be very happy.
Time to shut the computer down for the night and hopefully dream of the perfect wave. Warm and full of the right even harmonics:) Have a good night
 
Personally, I think that I would leave the capacitors alone for now and concentrate on where your power loss is. It could be the fuses. I also own a 9500II and the relay click means that 99.99 percent that the amp portion is working.

I completely agree and and appreciate your advice.
I think it's the protection circuit but I haven't pulled the fuses yet to be sure that it is not one of them to be sure but I will today.
An interesting point is that when the SA9500 II is turned off it has 65 V AC I see with my VOM meter at the switched outlets and 125 VAC at the unswitched outlets. When turned to the on position it has 125 VAC on the unswitched outlets and switches I haven't used a scope yet
I'm just not sure where to start.

There could also be some broken wire leads where soldered into boards...so no signal is passing. Here's my restoration thread FWIW.

Good stuff! I don't know if it's because I reseated the fuses (which are not soldered in as I originally thought:) But I may have had the switches set incorrectly. I input a CD into the Aux and - :)) We have audio! I then looked at the power indication light and Yep! it's burnt! (for want of a nail) I just ordering one form MCM and shipping is rough but I hope it's the right part. More to come next weekend when I have time to install the lamp. Now that was fun tracing the wires off of that Stanley 8vo.05a Subminiature lamp! I ordered 3 as I would rather listen to this amp then wait for parts.
After I get it back together I'll test it with a turn table and some good Ole' Rock & Roll. Thank you every body in AudioKarma land.

It uses the jumpers, make sure they are present and plugged in to bridge the "pre-out/main-in" jacks. If the jumpers aren't there you can use ordinary RCA cables to connect preamp outputs to the main amp inputs. As mentioned above make sure tape monitors and adapter switches are set to source too. You just saved me big time! I tried hooking up my SA-9500 II for the first time in years and had the same issue (clicks on but no sound). Low and behold, the jumpers were missing! ...Is there any advantage of getting the actual pioneer jumpers vs using a nice small set of RCA cables?
 
You could also make your own out of 1/8" solid copper wire. At least I believe 1/8" is close enough to the diameter of the pin of an RCA plug.
 
#8 bare copper wire ( commonly used for grounding) can be bought by the foot though you probably have to buy at least a foot. Shouldn't break the bank. .91 per ' at lowes, .92 per ' at Home depot.
