Hi,
Ready (again) to install the transistors.
@Skywatcher suggested on page 1 that while I was at it to replace the capacitors. Several are not in stock at Digi-Key or Mouser:
AWM-074: C1: .22uF 10v CSSA: 667-ECQ-V1H224JL2 .22uF 50v - NOT IN STOCK [Lead time 21 weeks]
AWM-074: C2: .22uF 10v CSSA: 667-ECQ-V1H224JL2 .22uF 50v - SAME AS ABOVE
AWM-074: C3: 330uF 6.3v CEA: 647-UPW1A331MPD 330uF 10v - NOT IN STOCK [Lead time 21 weeks]
AWM-074: C4: 330uF 6.3v CEA: 647-UPW1A331MPD 330uF 10v - SAME AS ABOVE
AWM-074: C5: 4.7uF 25v CEA: 647-UPW1E4R7MDD 4.7uF 25v - IN STOCK
AWM-074: C6: 100uF 16v CEA: 647-UPW1V101MPD 100uF 35v - NOT IN STOCK [Lead time 21 weeks]
My preference would be to use the Nichicon. Fortunately I have two amps working (Pioneer SX-626 & Sherwood S-9500, also a Sony STR-DH190). Is there Nichicon alternatives? Should I just replace the transistors and hope for the best and move on. I want to do what is best in the long run. What I don't want to do is take it apart, put it back together, take it apart, etc. I have other amp projects as well that I am working on. I am in no rush, but do want it back to use. My favorite amp.
Really, really appreciate you guys helping and respect your advice/opinions.
Cheers!
Rick
