Here is my solution, if you want to do a little work.

When I posted this those many years ago now. I showed the seemingly best plugs to use (Copper IIRC) and how to mod them by shorting the plugs ends. (post16)


I never sold any just posted for others to take advantage of. Now some ran with it and sold them to others.


In the years since my original postings I'm sure there is different solutions to consider.

If those were mine I'd shorten them up and taper the ends so they split the contacts. Thicker ends can and do push the contacts back in damaging them.

They only need to be as long as the set pictured in post #60.

i had never paid attention before. they are a 1/4" longer than oem. i'll investigate next time my sx990 is out.

I've had to repair two receivers that had the contacts jammed back in because of thick aftermarket plugs.
