Pioneer SX 1250 Safe Mode

Hi, i have a SX 1250 that goes into safe mode i think? After power on, it clicks 1 time and audio sounds good, then after about 1 - 3 seconds it clicks one more time its all quiet. any ideas? thank you

I see you joined today and this is your first post, so welcome aboard and here's hoping you enjoy your time here.

How long have you had this unit? was it serviced before you acquired it?

Sounds like unit is going into protection mode, could be a relay issue

Protection mode.

Have you worked on stereo gear before?
If you haven’t, get it to a tech.

Or - there’s very nice assembled new boards for the protection and power supply on eBay that are plug and play. Replacing those odds are would have you up and running.
 
This might be DC on the output. Maybe it is out of adjustment. Get the SM maybe from the akdatabase and fill us in on what you know about poking around inside the unit.
