Pioneer SX-1980 w/box in NC

I think this is the first time I've ever seen one for sale in NC. Not cheap, but seems to be around market value from what I recall of recent sales.

I collect TOTL receivers, but I really don't think you're getting the sound per dollar with these as you would with a 1250 or a 'sui 9090db.

For that kind of dough I'd be looking for a Mc275, a mint Cit II or one of the golden age Marantz toob amps anyway....

However, ownership is 1/2 of the pleasure...

They way Marantz tube gear prices are going thru the roof these days, you can't get one for 2.5K, unless it is a 8b...
