Pioneer sx 450 flicker

I have a pioneer sx450 that randomly started flickering with static one day while I was playing music. It will not stop now and I can't play music.

While it's rare to find this in a tuner as they don't pull much current, burned contacts on the power switch can cause this.

This. It's well documented on this receiver. I even had one about 20 years ago that had the same problem.

This is what happens when I post before I wake up. Yeah, it's a receiver, not a tuner, so the switch probably is the cause. Thanks Mike!

Mine does the same thing when powering up. I play with the power switch/speaker selector knob a bit and it clears. Time to open it up and clean those contacts.

These should get you up and running. Don't know why this subject isn't a sticky as it's a common problem in the lower end X50's with the combined power switch / speaker selector.

Yeah, this is an issue with like half of these receivers, and the others will do it eventually.
