Pioneer SX-450/HK 330C Comparison?

I am a very happy owner of the Harmon Kardon 330C. How does the 330C compare in sound quality to the Pioneer SX-450? I may start collection low powered great sounding receivers and amps.

I own the HK 330C and the Pioneer I have is SX-1050 which a lot higher than the HK! Well I used to have SX-680 so I don't know what to tell you! Both sound good to me. I am recently listening to the HK and I like the sound! The Pioneer was good also!

In my opinion they sound pretty much the same but I am sure there will be people who will disagree with me!

How many threads have you read about the great sound from a 330c?
How many have you read, threads that proclaim the unit great sounding, about the Pioneer?

I'm just saying.

If you want to collect the nice little ones, I think you would want earlier Pioneers (blue lights), Tandberg, Marantz, Kyocera and Sansui.

But for the price of the little receivers, $20 or so, what's to lose?

I very much agree with blue shadow. Almost everybody likes the 330c, but for the most part if you're gonna get into low power receivers the best ones tend to be older because they were closer to TOTL then.
