Pioneer SX34 SE-05 diode replacement

Hi guys,

I'm working on my pioneer sx 34 and came across 2 SE-05b diodes which I'd like to replace.

I have 1n4007, 1n4004 and 1n5404 laying around, could any if those be a proper replacement?

You can get better, but there's no reason to... the SE05 was "good enough" and the 1N4007 has higher current rating, much higher surge rating, and higher voltage rating.

So, this 1n4007 is better than what was in there? Then that's good enough for me. Thanks, I'll put them in.

Reviving this one as I am just replacing rectifier diodes in a Pioneer SA400 integrated amp and came across a pair of SE-05 as well as a pair of SD-1A.

I was set to use 1N4007 but thought I might go for some fast recovery BA159

Any advantage in doing this? I am never quite sure how critical diode replcements are..

At power line frequency, I don't really expect you'll see any difference.
