I have a pair of Preference PR 150 speakers, bought them in Germany back in 1989. These are towers and they sound(ed) amazing! I'm in the mood to repair the cones and while doing some research came across this thread. I'm amazed I've come across a forum with members who know what these speakers are.

AKer's collective knowledge always amazes me. Just about the only speakers I have seen that were never identified are my Angelica's, which were a one off prototype/DIY from the early to mid 90's, built in Yonkers NY.
Those preference speakers are very cool!

Il mio Orion Bluebook li ha elencati come prodotti per il mercato militare. Probabilmente venduti da PX e BX. Non sono riuscito a trovare un PY-250, ma c'era un elenco per il 240:
PY-240. Anno: 91-92,3 vie, 3 altoparlanti, 10 "woofer, 5" midrange, 1 "tweeter.
$858/paio.
Sicuramente non furgone bianco.

Ho un set . Ho il PY-250. Sono il modello di punta che hanno realizzato. Io e 2 miei amici abbiamo acquistato i nostri ad una fiera in Germania nel 1987. Li adoro. Il suono è incredibile. Sono in ceramica e pesano 100 libbre ciascuno. La parte superiore con il mid e il tweeter fa perno. Gestiscono 250 watt. (Pi-250). Hanno realizzato 4 modelli, il 100, 150, 200 e 250. Sono venuti in bianco o nero. Abbiamo comprato tutti quelli neri. Sono facili da dipingere. Le griglie sono in metallo. Ci sono componenti elettronici all'interno alla base. Ne ho fatto ricostruire uno nei primi anni '90. È stato difficile perché sono metrici. 2 di noi li hanno ancora e l'altro li ha rubati durante la spedizione. Sono falliti poco dopo che li abbiamo acquistati. Li abbiamo presi al prezzo della fiera di 720,00 dollari al paio. Tutte le riviste audio dell'epoca avevano il prezzo di $ 650.00 ciascuna. Non so quanto valgano oggi. È così che ho trovato il tuo post, cercando di trovarli on line .no info Yet

I also have a pair of py 200. Black, no swivel top. I’ve owned them for 37yrs. I used to sell them in Germany. Bought mine new for $2500pr employee discount
