Pro-Ject RPM 1 Carbon opinions?

I wonder what the responses would have been had OP went with a Pro-Ject...

The AT95E will do fine on your Technics. A steal for the price, some might say.

I, for one, would have congratulated him just the same. Regardless of which equipment gets you into the music, enjoying the music is what its all about.

By any chance, SSax stand for soprano sax?

My advice is get the Technics factory rubber mat, the future value in the table will be in it having all the original OEM factory parts/accessories not aftermarket. As for cork mats or any other material it's probably going to be a case of different, maybe the same but very unlikly better, I'v tried quite a few mats and always ended up returning to the mat that came with the table from the factory. Like any other table it is what it is and all the tweaks, modifications aren't going to significantly change the character/performance of the table, your just going to spend a lot of money to make a very small percentage improvement, like under 5% improvement, really unnoticeable. Much more cost effective to move up to a higher level performing table. I had a couple 1200s, one completely stock and the other with costly upgrades, using the same cartridge I couldn't hear a difference between them.

Congrats on your table. You got a good one...now get a decent cart, now clean her and tweak her a bit if she needs it, and enjoy!

Of all the saxophones I played (alto, bari, tenor), I never actually played the soprano sax. I made the SSaxdude username a long time ago, and Saxdude was taken.

Well, I installed an AT95e cartridge or now, and I'll save some pounds to get a better one in the next months. What do you think of the alignment?
