I have a Debut III and am looking at different upgrades.Is the hockey puck clamp worth trying on this table?Have already looked at stylus and platter upgrade.Trying to stay with the budget entry level theme.:scratch2:

I have a hockey puck with a level bubble in the top I bought off the 'Bay. It's useful for leveling, warped records (some) and to see if the spindle is wobbling. If the bubble runs true all the time, your level and still in spec. If you see it shifting back and forth, you have spindle issues. I would always have one around, but it might not be high on the list? Especially for a new TT. Might get a spare mat first? Or put the money toward cleaning supplies? Of course, knowing me - I'd get a spare headshell and and another cartridge first But I don't guess that's in the cards for this application?

I use the Sota I-clamp. Does a nice job and cost around $80.

My concern is the LP is not well supported because the platter is smaller diameter than the LP.Also have some concerns about the mat.It is a one piece arm so a head shell swap isn't possible.A stylus upgrade is already planned for the OM5E.

IMO, any device that improves coupling of the record to the platter, helps dampen vibrations, and maybe flattens slightly warped records a little is good. So, :thmbsp: for clamps in my book.
