You are pulling on my heart string with these. You father has that stuff we are talking about with his comment to you. :D
Too funny...

The "best thing since sliced bread" is one of those hall of fame quotes I could have gotten rich in hearing it so many times.

This quote deserves some special attention IMO.
It has been around seemingly forever.

Sh*t of get off the pot.

Pahtcenter!
You are killing me here with your quotes. I am having the time of my life. Some of you have sent in some sensational quotes that universally is a part of all of our lives at some point of time.

I think thought that quote is "either **** or get off the pot/toilet."
Just a typo I know Pahtcenter. :thmbsp:

It is one of those like the sliced bread quotes that deserves special recognition.

Another one of my Dad's favorites "It's time to fish or cut bait", in other words, start or get out of the way.

Ahhhh Tboat4!
If the people keep on sending in stuff like this, I will have up my medication. My heart will not take anymore of the humor & sentimental reminders of my childhood listening to the old folks spout off.

This one is another one that is in a class all by itself. Your dad had the stuff Tboat4! :thmbsp:

My dad would use the one in the same family that stated, "this is where the rubber meets the road."
Again, if I had a dollar. This is a hall of fame classic.

This still shows us that not all of these types of quotes originated from the same region.

These I have not heard before in my growing up or region I live, but they are too funny!

"A lie goes around the world before the truth has it's boots on."
I like this one, it has a truth quality to it that let's us know that gossip gets more attention than the truth at times.

"Never sleep with anyone crazier then yourself"

"Drive it or Park it."

"Ain't it a shame when cousins marry"

"Family tree got no forks"

I asked my father if he could loan me some money to help me get back on my feet. He told me if I don't start making payments on that truck he sold me, He was going to put me back on my feet.

Also there's a German saying (sorry I don't remember the German words) that translates to "pickled basement stairs and flies' tongues."
