Thanks to information and videos posted by members of this group I have put in new capacitors and resistors in my moms RCA 4vf534 stereo console. She got it new in 1964.

Hi there--that is amazing! I have inherited my grandmother's RCA 4vf53 but it needs a new transformer You don't happen to have the manual or the specs of the original transformer, do ya?

Power? or output?

The amplifier is more then likely a RS-177

Here's a schematic (See attached), if that doesn't help search "RCA RS-177"
